Restaurant Profit Review

Your restaurant is busy.
Is it profitable?

Understand where your profit is going—and which decisions deserve your attention next.

A focused financial analysis for restaurant owners who want a clearer view of food costs, labor, overhead, and the money left after a busy month.

$1,000 one-time · Up to six months of records · One location · No monthly commitment

Sound familiar?

Full tables should not leave you guessing about the numbers.

Sales are up. Profit isn’t.

You want to understand whether food costs, labor, discounts, fees, or overhead are absorbing the increase.

The bank balance tells only part of the story.

You need to distinguish operating performance from the timing of supplier payments, debt, and owner withdrawals.

The next decision feels expensive.

Before changing prices, adding shifts, or investing in growth, you want a financial picture you can actually use.

What you take away

A clearer profit picture.
A shorter list of better decisions.

01

Know what is actually driving profit.

A written findings report explaining sales, food and beverage costs, labor, overhead, and the changes that deserve your attention.

02

Separate a busy dining room from a healthy business.

A profitability scorecard covering up to six months with margins, cost percentages, and trends, using consistent definitions and noting gaps in the records.

03

See which decisions deserve attention first.

A prioritized action plan identifying the most important opportunities, why they matter, and the next step to investigate or act on each one.

04

Leave with answers—not another unexplained report.

A 45-minute owner walkthrough to discuss the findings, challenge assumptions, and agree on the priorities you want to pursue.

You receive the findings and scorecard electronically. Conclusions are tied to the records provided; missing data and assumptions are clearly identified.

What we need from you

Useful answers start with the right records.

Gather records for up to six recent completed months for the same restaurant location. Consistent periods make the comparisons meaningful.

Not sure what you have?

Ask before purchasing. Kaxpe confirms record availability and fit first so you know whether the review can answer your questions.

Do not email statements, employee details, account numbers, or passwords. Secure transfer or accountant-access instructions are provided after the engagement is confirmed.

  1. 01

    Monthly financial reports

Profit and loss statements and balance sheets for up to six recent completed months, plus a year-to-date P&L. QuickBooks Online reports are preferred.

  2. 02

    Sales and point-of-sale reports

Monthly net sales, discounts, refunds, sales by category, and guest or check counts where available. Include delivery-platform sales and fees separately.

  3. 03

    Food and beverage costs

Purchases or cost-of-goods-sold detail, supplier summaries, and beginning and ending inventory counts where available. Missing inventory limits food-cost conclusions.

  4. 04

    Labor summaries

Monthly payroll totals, employer payroll costs, and labor hours by department if available. Summary data only—no Social Security numbers or employee banking details.

  5. 05

    Operating costs and obligations

Rent, utilities, merchant fees, subscriptions, and other overhead; outstanding vendor balances and a summary of loan payments if cash pressure is a concern.

  6. 06

    Owner context

Your biggest concern, recent price or staffing changes, unusual expenses, and how owner pay is recorded. This keeps the analysis grounded in how you operate.

One clear investment

$1,000. One-time.

Financial insight before a bigger commitment.

The fee covers one restaurant location, up to six months of records, the written findings, profitability scorecard, prioritized action plan, and a 45-minute owner walkthrough.

Clear boundaries. No surprises.

  • No recurring subscription or ongoing advisory obligation.
  • Bookkeeping cleanup, transaction correction, tax work, payroll processing, bill payment, detailed recipe costing, and multi-location analysis are not included.
  • If the records require additional work, scope and fees are agreed separately before that work starts.
  • This is management-use analysis—not assurance over the accuracy of your financial statements.

From questions to clarity

Written findings within 10 business days of complete records.

The clock starts when the engagement is confirmed and Kaxpe verifies that all required records have been received—not when you first inquire. The owner walkthrough is scheduled with you after delivery.

01 · Confirm fit

Agree on the question.

We confirm your location, available records, scope, fee, and engagement terms before you proceed.

02 · Analyze

Make the numbers useful.

After records are complete, Kaxpe analyzes the period, raises any clarification questions, and prepares your findings and priorities.

03 · Decide

Choose your next moves.

Receive your written package, then discuss it in the owner walkthrough so the priorities make sense for your operation.

Missing records or unresolved questions can change the delivery date. Any revised timing is communicated with you; business days exclude weekends and U.S. federal holidays.

More about Karlos

Before you decide.

Is the $1,000 price a monthly subscription?

No. This is a one-time Restaurant Profit Review for one location and up to six months of records. There is no recurring commitment. Any ongoing advisory work would require a separate agreement.

What if the books are incomplete?

Kaxpe checks record availability before confirming the engagement. If missing or unreliable records prevent a useful analysis, we explain the limitations and agree on next steps. Historical cleanup is not included in the $1,000 review.

Will this tell me exactly which menu items to remove?

Not from financial statements alone. Item-level profitability needs reliable recipe costing, portion information, and item-level sales data. This review focuses on company-level and available category-level profitability; a detailed menu-engineering project is outside the standard scope.

Will you guarantee a profit increase or specific savings?

No. Findings may identify opportunities, but results depend on data quality, operating decisions, implementation, and market conditions. Any estimates are explained as estimates, not guaranteed outcomes.

Is this an accounting review or assurance engagement?

No. “Profit Review” describes a management-use financial analysis, not an accountant’s review engagement. Kaxpe is not a CPA firm and provides no audit, assurance, compilation, tax, legal, or investment services.

Can you look at multiple locations?

Yes, we can discuss a separately scoped engagement. The advertised $1,000 price covers one restaurant location; consolidated or multi-location work is confirmed separately before work begins.
